Queen Titania

The elliptical structure of its outer casing, composed of blades, serves simultaneously as a non-dazzle screen, a reflector of the central light source and a heat dissipater. Five pairs of polycarbonate interchangeable filters determine the varying colours of its lamellar body. In fact Titania can be coloured as desired, by a simple movement of the hand to slot the different filters in and out and to give the lamp a “dematerialised” colour - while always maintaining an emission of white light! The spherical counterweight, allowing its up-down adjustment, can be inserted or removed at any time.

MilkMac

Created by Soren Kjaer in collaboration with furniture Holmris Hansen A/S, this Scandinavian design is an ode to the Mac. Familiar in design to Mac users, Milk comes in a white high gloss lacquer, the same color used on iMacs. The deceivingly simple shape of the desk has been designed to conceal all unsightly wires with its built-in cable drawers and cable exits. An electronic base means that the desk can be raised or lowered with the touch of a button, allowing freedom to sit or stand at your workspace. While the Milk desk can be lauded for its simplicity and clean lines, its landscape is dramatically altered by the addition of simultaneously practical and whimsical boxes. Four compartments on the left hand side of the desk become a tool holder, garbage bin or even fish tank. A perfect place to charge your iPod or hide your candy stash, box lids come in several colors and finishes. The Milk desk makes work more like play and you just might find yourself looking for excuses to get back to the office.

metropolis chair

Not the fictional city of the Superman comics, but an art-deco inspired stainless steel wonder from Perry Lang’s post-modern furniture collection. Reminiscent of the Precisionist art movement, the Metropolis chair echoes art-deco themes of geometry, simplicity and elegance. 1930s futurism comes alive in the “streamlined” style of this modern esthetic that reflects a “graciousness of form” from a simpler time. The fluted detail, sleek upholstery and industrial feel make this a super chair for a new era.
